The beginning of something magical:

For many years, my life revolved around being on high alert. As a mum to three boys, that’s fairly normal — but with two of my sons diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bones), the worry ran deeper than most. Life was a constant balance of love, fear, preparation, and resilience. Ambulance bags packed, snacks and books always ready for hospital visits, and a mind that never truly switched off.

After many ups and downs, I’m incredibly grateful to say that all three of my boys are now teenagers and doing fantastically. I couldn’t be prouder to be their mum. The worry never fully disappears, but it has softened, and for the first time in a long while, I’ve been able to take a breath and allow myself a moment to rediscover me.

Starting my own website marks that moment. After years of living in survival mode, I can finally begin to reconnect with who I used to be and remember what I truly enjoy. Painting has always been my tonic, deeply therapeutic, grounding, and freeing. Time truly flies when you’re having fun, and my goodness, I’m having fun.

My passion for colour and design has been eager to escape. When I paint, I tune into my inner spirit and connect with the canvas. Each piece holds my heart and soul. Sometimes a painting doesn’t work out as I’d hoped, and I’ve learned to leave it, rest, and return with fresh eyes, only then does it often become exactly what I was dreaming of all along.
